“When you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.” ― Max Planck
About Me
I am an instructional designer and e-learning developer because I love learning and collaborating with others to explore creative ways to enhance personal growth.
My process begins with my curious nature compelling me to ask questions, bringing into sharp focus the business challenges and opportunities for change in your organization. I excel at observing and identifying patterns to determine what knowledge or skills are required to close the gaps. Using the ADDIE/SAM iterative process, I further refine the gaps into measurable learning objectives, distilling complex information into manageable portions.
I design and develop innovative instruction that utilizes a scenario-based approach. Effective instruction connects learning to application building knowledge. The learner gains a deep understanding of WHY the content is important and HOW it will lead to individual and, ultimately, team success.
I am proficient in Articulate Storyline and RISE, Camtasia, Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Canva, Slack, and Zoom. As a professional learner, I continuously seek out opportunities to enhance and improve my skills.
When I am not designing effective and unique learning for others, I can be found having fun with family and friends, cheering for Penn State, poking around a tide pool with my kayak, wandering down a path in the woods with a field guide, or working on projects in and around the house.
